AlphaSense · AlphaSense SuperAnalyst: AI Research Agent That Builds Cited Memos, Models and Decks from Broker Research and Filings
SuperAnalyst is AlphaSense's research agent: you hand it an objective such as an earnings preview, a buyer universe or a competitive map, and it plans the work, searches AlphaSense's broker research, filings, transcripts and expert calls, writes and runs code, and returns cited memos, Excel models, dashboards and decks. It is for investment, banking, corporate strategy and competitive intelligence teams that already subscribe to AlphaSense.
Best for
Buy-side and sell-side analysts, private equity and corporate development teams, and corporate strategy or competitive intelligence groups that already rely on AlphaSense content and want the platform to produce cited memos, models, dashboards and decks rather than answers they assemble by hand
Not ideal for
Teams without an AlphaSense subscription or budget for one, researchers whose sources are academic papers or the open web, anyone who needs shared team projects, scheduled runs or an API today, and buyers who need published self-serve pricing
Who it's for
Investment professionals (hedge funds, asset managers, private equity), investment bankers, corporate development and strategy teams, and competitive intelligence analysts at organizations that subscribe to AlphaSense
SuperAnalyst's value comes from the content underneath it. General research agents can read the web and whatever you connect, but not sell-side research and expert call transcripts. An agent that can pull those together with filings and financial data, apply a practitioner-written workflow, and hand back an Excel model or memo with clickable sources is a real step up from AlphaSense's question-and-answer search. Judge it on what the help center documents, not the launch copy. Today it is an on-demand agent in beta: the 24/7 monitoring, triggers, tool connections and team sharing are on the roadmap, financial-data citations are still rolling out, and slide decks need real cleanup. For existing AlphaSense customers it is worth trialing on a few real workflows, such as earnings prep, comps or a diligence first pass, while checking the numbers. For anyone else it comes with a full AlphaSense subscription, and the decision rests on whether you need AlphaSense's content.
Who should use it
AlphaSense customers on investment, banking, private equity, corporate development or competitive intelligence teams whose recurring work (earnings prep, comps, buyer lists, diligence, competitor maps) depends on broker research, transcripts and filings, and who want a first draft of the deliverable with sources attached.
Who should skip it
Individuals and small teams without an AlphaSense budget, researchers working mainly from academic literature or the open web, teams that need shared projects, scheduled monitoring or an API today, and organizations that will not accept beta software in a decision workflow.

Note: AlphaSense sells annual subscriptions, from per-seat options to enterprise packages, and quotes prices through its sales team. No price, plan or add-on for SuperAnalyst is published, and the help center says the beta is not available to all users. Expert calls and Canalyst financial models are sold as separate add-ons. AlphaSense offers a free platform trial, and its launch blog post points readers to that trial to try SuperAnalyst, but the trial page itself does not list SuperAnalyst or say how long the trial lasts.
Modalities
Text, Code
Pre-earnings prep across a coverage list
A Skill that compiles recent commentary, estimates and broker views can be rerun for each name, producing a consistent brief with sources an analyst can check before the call.
First-pass diligence on a deal
SuperAnalyst can audit uploaded data-room files, cross-check seller assumptions against AlphaSense evidence, flag gaps and draft an IC memo in one session, leaving the deal team to review rather than assemble.
Sell-side buyer universe
Building a ranked list of strategic and sponsor buyers in Excel from filings and research is repetitive work where cited sources and a reusable template matter.
Competitive intelligence for a strategy team
A positioning matrix and head-to-head grid drawn from broker research and expert interviews gives strategy teams sources they rarely find on the open web.
AlphaSense SuperAnalyst and Perplexity
Perplexity researches the open web and selected sources, with Deep Research for longer cited reports, on self-serve plans and an API. SuperAnalyst works on AlphaSense's licensed broker research, expert transcripts and filings and builds models and dashboards, but only inside an AlphaSense subscription. Analysts may use Perplexity for quick web context and SuperAnalyst for work that needs premium sources.
AlphaSense SuperAnalyst and ChatGPT
ChatGPT is a general assistant with Deep Research, file analysis and connectors, available to anyone on self-serve plans. SuperAnalyst is narrower and tied to AlphaSense content and finance-specific Skills, which suits regulated research teams that need citations to licensed sources rather than the web.
AlphaSense SuperAnalyst and Ari
Ari works on a company's own books, connecting accounting, payroll, banking and billing systems to forecast and report on its finances, and is aimed at startups and lean finance teams. SuperAnalyst looks outward at markets, peers and targets through AlphaSense content. A finance team could use Ari for internal planning and SuperAnalyst for market and competitor research.
What is AlphaSense SuperAnalyst?
SuperAnalyst is an AI agent inside the AlphaSense market intelligence platform. Instead of answering one question at a time, it takes an assignment, plans the steps, searches AlphaSense's broker research, filings, earnings call and expert transcripts and financial data, writes and runs code in a private sandbox, and returns cited deliverables such as research memos, Excel models, dashboards and slide decks.
How much does AlphaSense SuperAnalyst cost?
AlphaSense does not publish a price for SuperAnalyst. AlphaSense itself is sold as annual subscriptions, from per-seat options to enterprise packages, priced through its sales team. Its official pages do not say which plans include SuperAnalyst or whether it is a separate add-on, so ask sales when you request a quote. AlphaSense's launch blog post points readers to its free platform trial to try SuperAnalyst, though the trial page itself does not list it.
Is SuperAnalyst generally available?
Not fully. AlphaSense launched it at AlphaSummit on October 6, 2026, after an early access program that began in June, but its help center describes SuperAnalyst as a beta that is not available to all users, with features that may change before general availability, and no general-availability date has been announced. Users who have access open it with a toggle in the Generative Search tab.
Does SuperAnalyst monitor markets and update work automatically?
That is the stated direction, and AlphaSense's marketing describes 24/7 monitoring. The help center, however, says Skills run on demand only today and lists scheduled runs, runs triggered by market events, and live-updating dashboards as coming soon. You can ask SuperAnalyst to refresh a deliverable with new data, and for a recurring single question, AlphaSense's separate Workflow Agents in Generative Search can already run on a schedule.
Can I verify where SuperAnalyst's numbers and claims come from?
Claims drawn from AlphaSense research content, such as broker research, expert transcripts and filings, are cited with click-through links in the chat and in every artifact. AlphaSense's FAQ says citations on financial data are still being rolled out and recommends verifying financial figures independently before relying on them.
Is my data used to train models?
AlphaSense says no: uploads, templates, memory and interactions are not used to train models. Each user's SuperAnalyst runs in an isolated sandbox with permissions inherited from their AlphaSense access, and actions are logged. AlphaSense lists SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 27001 certification for the platform.
AlphaSense SuperAnalyst vs ChatGPT or Perplexity deep research: what is the difference?
ChatGPT and Perplexity research the open web and the sources you connect, and are available on self-serve plans. SuperAnalyst works inside AlphaSense on licensed content those tools cannot read, such as broker research and expert call transcripts, applies finance-specific Skills, and builds Excel models and dashboards, but it requires a quote-based AlphaSense subscription and is still in beta.
SuperAnalyst sits inside AlphaSense, the market intelligence platform used by investment firms, banks, consultancies and corporate strategy teams, and changes what the platform hands back. AlphaSense's Generative Search answers one question with a cited reply; SuperAnalyst takes an assignment ("build a Q1 earnings preview for NKE", "map the competitive landscape for this target") and runs the workflow behind it. It plans the steps, retrieves across the content the user's AlphaSense subscription covers (broker research, regulatory filings, earnings call transcripts, expert interview transcripts, news and financial data, plus AlphaSense's life sciences data and supply chain knowledge graph; AlphaSense says its library holds more than 500 million documents), reconciles the evidence, does calculations and writes and runs code in a private per-user sandbox, and produces artifacts: research memos, Excel models, comp tables, interactive HTML dashboards and slide decks. Claims drawn from AlphaSense content carry click-through citations, and the chat shows the agent's reasoning step by step so an analyst can redirect it. Repeatable work is saved as Skills: AlphaSense ships a library written by former buy-side, banking and corporate strategy practitioners (forecasting, buyer universe development, earnings previews, competitive mapping, diligence), and users can create their own in plain language, from a template, or by saving a workflow they just ran. Memory carries a user's coverage universe, preferences and project history across sessions. AlphaSense introduced SuperAnalyst in June 2026 through an early access program for select enterprise customers and launched it at its AlphaSummit conference on October 6, 2026. The main tradeoff is the gap between the always-on pitch and what AlphaSense documents today. The launch press release describes 24/7 monitoring that updates models and decks when filings or earnings land, but AlphaSense's own launch blog post calls scheduled and event-based triggers its next chapter, and its help center labels SuperAnalyst a beta that is not available to all users, says Skills run on demand only, and lists Slack, Outlook and CRM connections and Skill sharing as future capabilities. It is also bound to AlphaSense: it works on AlphaSense content and your AlphaSense entitlements, runs only in the web app, is per-user with no shared projects, and comes with an annual, quote-based AlphaSense subscription rather than a published price.
AlphaSense launched SuperAnalyst at its AlphaSummit conference as an agent that takes an objective, plans and runs the research, writes and runs code, and produces memos, models, comparison tables, dashboards and board presentations. The launch added a Context Graph that ties structured data points to source evidence and a practitioner-built Skills library with custom Skills; AlphaSense's help center continues to describe the product as a beta.
AlphaSense previewed SuperAnalyst Apps, shareable applications users describe in natural language and SuperAnalyst builds and runs on AlphaSense data. AlphaSense said they will launch in the coming months; no date was given.
AlphaSense announced SuperAnalyst and made it available to select enterprise customers through an early access program, with a waitlist for others.
