FreemiumFlowise was an open-source visual platform for building AI agents and LLM applications through a drag-and-drop interface, supporting multi-agent systems, retrieval-augmented generation, tool-calling chat assistants, and human-in-the-loop workflows without writing orchestration code. Workday acquired Flowise in August 2025. On July 29, 2026 the team announced it was sunsetting the project, citing developers' growing reliance on coding agents: feature development and pull-request reviews stopped that day (the final release was flowise@3.1.4), the GitHub repository was archived and the npm and Docker packages deprecated on August 13, 2026, and the core team's presence on Discord and GitHub ended on August 31, 2026. The code remains available for forking: the core is Apache 2.0 licensed, while enterprise features are under a commercial license, and the archived repository has about 55,000 GitHub stars. No shutdown date for Flowise Cloud had been published at the time of writing, although the homepage now announces the sunset.
