Our take
Warp Agent is one of the clearest cases of an agent built into a system of record rather than bolted on beside it. Because Warp already runs payroll, tax filings, benefits, and IT provisioning, the agent can finish multi-step HR work such as multi-state onboarding or tax-notice resolution. A general workflow agent could only draft or route that work. The guardrail design is serious for a domain where mistakes move money: per-workflow autonomy, hard limits it cannot change, and rollback. The catch is that you are buying a payroll provider, not an add-on. It fits US-incorporated companies choosing or already using Warp, and it is not a reason on its own to migrate a mature payroll setup during early access.
