invideo · invideo: Agentic Browser Video Editor with AI Editing Agents, Agent Two, and an MCP Server
invideo is a browser-based professional video editor in which AI agents do editing work on a real multitrack timeline: logging footage, building first cuts, syncing multicam, designing sound, building effects, and generating missing shots from more than 200 image, video, and audio models. Manual editing is free, and agent work uses credits. It suits creators, agencies, and marketing and film teams who want to hand off the prep work of an edit and still finish it by hand.
Best for
Creators, agencies, and in-house marketing and film teams who edit in the browser and want AI agents to handle logging, first cuts, multicam, sound design, effects, and missing shots on a timeline they can take over at any frame
Not ideal for
Editors who must finish in Premiere, Resolve, or Avid and only want an assistant that prepares cuts for them, teams that need self-hosted or offline tools, and buyers who need a fixed cost per video
Who it's for
Video creators, editors, agencies, film and micro-drama producers, and marketing teams who want an AI-assisted editor in the browser
invideo's bet is that the agent should live inside the editor, not beside it. Because the assistant's work lands as normal clips on a timeline with real color and audio tools, you can hand off logging, first cuts, multicam, and sound beds and still make the final calls yourself, and the free manual editor makes that easy to try. The MCP server lets an agent you already use, such as Claude Code or ChatGPT, work on the same timeline you are watching, with each edit landing live under its own cursor. The catch is cost visibility. Every agent action and generation spends credits at varying model rates, so heavy generation work needs watching. Editors whose finish has to happen in Premiere, Resolve, or Avid may find Eddie AI's handoff-first approach a better fit.
Who should use it
Creators and small teams who edit in the browser, agencies producing ad variants and localized versions, film and micro-drama producers who combine generated and shot footage, and developers who want Claude Code or ChatGPT to assemble edits they can review live.
Who should skip it
Editors locked into a desktop NLE who only want cuts prepared for it, teams that need offline or self-hosted tools, and buyers who need a predictable fixed cost per video.

Free tier limits: Manual timeline editing is free. The free plan includes a limited number of AI credits that reset weekly on Monday at 00:00 UTC; invideo does not publish the amount on its pricing page. Paid plans list watermark-free export.
Note: Credits pay for agent processing and for image, video, voice, and music generation. Models are priced at the provider's list price, and video models are charged per second, so a quick Kling 2.6 Standard clip can cost about 0.5 credits while a Veo 3.1 4K video with audio can cost 10 or more, per invideo's help center. Exporting and downloading do not use credits. Plan credits reset each billing cycle and do not roll over; extra credit packs are valid for up to 12 months or until the paid subscription ends. invideo reserves the right to change credit costs without notice. The annual prices shown for Pro and Ultra are labelled as 40% and 50% promotional discounts. Refunds are available within 7 days only if nothing was generated or downloaded.

Available models
First cut of a long interview
Uploading the raw footage and a script lets the agent pick the best takes, cut filler and pauses, and flag unshot lines, leaving an editable base cut that the editor shapes by hand.
Ad localization and cut-downs
A finished master can be dubbed with lip sync and cut into platform-specific versions in the same project, with a review link for the client to leave frame-accurate notes the agent can act on.
Editing from a coding agent
With the invideo MCP server added, Claude Code or Codex can import footage and assemble a timeline while the person watches each edit land in the browser and corrects it directly.
invideo vs. Eddie AI
Eddie AI is an assistant editor that logs footage and builds rough cuts to hand off to Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or Avid, with desktop apps and credits spent on imports, prompts, and NLE exports. invideo is a complete browser editor where you finish the cut yourself, with Edit, Color, and Audio rooms and real-time multiplayer editing; manual editing and exports are free and NLE export is optional. Both can be driven by outside agents through MCP.
invideo vs. Descript
Descript edits recorded media mainly through its transcript, with AI cleanup and the Underlord assistant, and suits podcasts, tutorials, and talking-head content. invideo centres on a multitrack timeline, and its assistant editor analyses the picture as well as the dialogue, and adds grading, an audio mixer, generation from more than 200 models, and live editing by outside agents through MCP.
invideo vs. Pexo
Pexo turns a brief, URL, or assets into a finished video through chat and has no timeline editor. invideo can also generate video through Agent Two, but its centre is a timeline editor for footage you bring, with agents and manual controls in the same project.
What is invideo Editor?
invideo Editor is invideo's browser-based professional video editor, introduced on September 1, 2026, with an AI assistant editor built in. You describe an edit in plain words and the agent watches the footage and places the result on a multitrack timeline, where you can change or undo anything. It also includes manual Edit, Color, and Audio rooms, real-time collaboration, and version control.
Is invideo free?
Manual editing in invideo Editor is free, with no limit on projects or footage. AI work, including the editing agent, Agent Two, and model generation, uses credits. The free plan includes a small number of credits that reset weekly, and paid plans start at $9 per seat per month for 190 credits.
How much does invideo cost?
Basic costs $9 per seat per month for 190 credits. Pro costs $30 per seat monthly or $18 billed annually for 1,000 credits, and Ultra costs $80 monthly or $40 billed annually for 3,000 credits; those annual prices are labelled promotional discounts. Business plans are Team at $79 per seat for 1,600 credits and Scale at $215 per seat for 4,000 credits, each for 5 to 30 seats, and Enterprise is custom. Credits are priced at each model's list rate and do not roll over.
What is invideo Agent Two?
Agent Two is invideo's conversational AI agent for creating video. It plans and generates shots by routing work to image, video, and audio models while holding your project's context and memory. It runs in Lite, Pro, and Ultra tiers, supports Playbooks, Notebooks, and guided Workflows such as casting and storyboards, and works inside the same project as invideo Editor.
Can I use invideo with Claude, ChatGPT, or Claude Code?
Yes. The invideo MCP server at mcp-v2.invideo.io/mcp works with Claude, ChatGPT (in developer mode, which needs a paid ChatGPT plan), Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Gemini CLI, and other MCP clients that support remote servers. Connecting needs no API key, but tools ask you to sign in with an invideo account. The agent's edits appear live on the timeline under its own cursor, and generation uses your invideo credits.
invideo vs Eddie AI: what is the difference?
Eddie AI is an assistant editor that logs footage and builds rough cuts mainly to hand off to Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or Avid, and it charges credits for imports and NLE exports. invideo is a complete editor in the browser where you can finish the video yourself, with manual Edit, Color, and Audio rooms, real-time multiplayer editing, and generation from more than 200 models in the same project. Manual editing and exports are free, and exporting to Premiere, Resolve, or Final Cut is optional rather than the main output.
Can I export an invideo project to Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve?
Yes. invideo Editor exports an editable project for Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve with cuts and layers intact, as well as MP4, audio-only, or a still frame. invideo notes that custom effects may not transfer unchanged to the destination editor.

Paidinvideo has moved through three products: the template-based invideo Studio, the generator known as invideo AI, and, since 2026, invideo Editor, which it calls the agentic video editor. The editor runs in the browser with Edit, Color, and Audio rooms: a multitrack timeline with Premiere-style shortcuts, keyframes with custom Bezier easing, motion graphics, a grading suite with curves, qualifiers, LUTs, and scopes, and an audio mixer with buses and Voice, Music, and SFX routing. An assistant editing agent works inside the same project. You describe the edit in plain words and it watches the footage, then places the result as ordinary clips you can move, trim, or undo. It builds a base cut from raw footage (with a script, it flags lines that were never shot), switches multicam angles by who is speaking, finds moments by person, action, emotion, or object, matches the pacing of a reference video, and removes silences and filler. Newer jobs include Agentic Sound Design, which builds a layered, editable sound bed from a described mood, and Agentic Effects, which builds a look on your footage and exposes adjustable controls. Agent Two, invideo's conversational creation agent, runs in the same workspace to plan and generate shots, and you can set up a crew of role agents (casting, locations, scenes, music) that share project memory and work in parallel. Teams edit together in real time, with review links for frame-accurate comments, branching version control, and session replay. Outside agents can join too: the invideo MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, and Gemini CLI edit the timeline live under their own cursor. Projects export as MP4 or as editable projects for Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve. The main difference from Eddie AI is where the edit is finished. Eddie is an assistant that logs footage and builds cuts to hand off to Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or Avid, and charges credits for imports and NLE exports. invideo is the editor itself: you finish on its browser timeline with manual tools that cost nothing, multiplayer editing, and generation in the same project, and NLE export is optional and free. The tradeoffs: all AI work is billed in credits priced at each model's list rate, so costs vary with the models and video length, plan credits do not roll over, and invideo can change credit costs without notice.
invideo launched an MCP server that lets Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, and Gemini CLI edit invideo Editor timelines live, and Agentic Effects, which builds a described look on your footage with adjustable controls.
The invideo agent can now analyse a sequence, find or generate sounds, and build a layered, editable sound bed from a described mood.
invideo introduced invideo Editor, a browser-based professional editor with an AI assistant editor that builds first cuts, handles multicam, searches footage, and generates b-roll. Manual editing is free, and agent work uses credits.
invideo announced SOC 2 Type II compliance across all five Trust Services Criteria.
