Riverside · Riverside Agents: Producer, Editor, Clipper and Marketer AI Agents for Podcast and Video Production
Riverside Agents is a team of four AI agents inside the Riverside recording and editing platform: a Producer that preps sessions, an Editor that turns a raw recording into a finished episode, a Clipper that cuts short clips, and a Marketer that writes captions and publishes or schedules posts once you approve them. It suits podcasters, video creators and marketing teams who already record on Riverside and want the production work after recording handled for them.
Best for
Podcasters, video creators and small marketing teams who already record on Riverside and want prep, editing, clipping and social posting handled by agents while they approve each step
Not ideal for
Teams that edit in Premiere, Resolve or another NLE and only want an assistant editor, Android-only mobile users, and anyone who needs a self-hosted or open-source tool
Who it's for
Podcasters, video creators, and marketing or content teams that record conversations, interviews and webinars on Riverside
Riverside Agents is less a new editor than a layer that strings together tools Riverside already had, such as Magic Clips, Magic Audio, the content planner and hosting, and moves the work from one step to the next without being asked. That is its real value for a solo podcaster or small team: the clips and edit plan are waiting when recording ends, and posts only need approval. The catch is that it only pays off inside Riverside and on the right plan. On Free or Pro, the agents can edit and clip but the scheduling and live in-studio help are missing, so Grow is the practical starting point for most creators. Teams that finish in a professional NLE, or that record elsewhere, will get more from a standalone assistant editor.
Who should use it
Podcasters, video creators and marketing teams who already record interviews, shows or webinars on Riverside and want editing, clipping and social posting moved forward automatically, with approval at each step.
Who should skip it
Editors who finish in Premiere, Resolve or Final Cut, teams that record and edit outside Riverside and do not want to move footage into it, Android-only users, and organizations that require self-hosted or open-source tooling.

Free tier limits: Free plan: 2 hours of separate-track recording (one-off), up to 720p video with a Riverside watermark, unlimited single-track recording and editing, and Magic Clips. The agents are available, but plan-gated features such as podcast hosting, most direct social publishing and scheduling are not.
Note: Riverside does not charge separately for the agents: they are included on every plan, and what they can do follows the plan tier. Paid plans have a 14-day free trial. Chatting with an agent does not use AI credits. Premium AI features an agent applies, such as AI B-roll or AI translation, use AI credits; Pro starts with 2,000 credits and Business with 12,000, and extra credits are purchased separately and do not renew monthly. Additional editor seats are an add-on on Pro, Grow and Webinar.
Modalities
Video, Audio, Text (transcripts, captions, posts)
Weekly interview podcast
The Producer drafts guest questions and supports the host live, then the Editor and Clipper have an edit plan and clips ready when recording ends, and the Marketer queues the episode and posts for approval.
Repurposing a back catalog
The Clipper turns old recordings into new Magic Clips and the Marketer recommends where and when to post them, which keeps channels active without new recordings.
Marketing webinar
On the Webinar plan, the Producer can set up the event, registration page, emails, polls and Q&A, and the recording then flows into the same editing and clipping workflow.
Riverside Agents vs. Descript
Descript is a text-based video and podcast editor with the Underlord AI assistant and remote recording rooms. Riverside Agents splits the work across four role-based agents that also prep sessions, help during recording, and publish or schedule posts and podcast episodes inside Riverside.
Riverside Agents vs. Eddie AI
Eddie AI is an assistant editor that builds rough cuts and social clips from imported footage and hands them to Premiere, Resolve, Final Cut or Avid. Riverside Agents finishes the edit inside Riverside and continues into scheduling and publishing, with no NLE handoff.
Riverside Agents vs. invideo
invideo is a browser-based professional editor where agents log footage, build first cuts and generate missing shots on a multitrack timeline. Riverside Agents is narrower, built around conversation and talking-head recordings, and adds session prep and social publishing.
What are Riverside Agents?
Riverside Agents are four AI agents built into Riverside. The Producer preps your sessions and helps during recording, the Editor turns a recording into a finished edit, the Clipper creates short clips, and the Marketer writes captions and publishes or schedules posts and podcast episodes. Each has its own chat and they pass tasks to one another.
How much do Riverside Agents cost?
There is no separate charge. The agents are included on every Riverside plan, including Free, but what they can do follows your plan. Pro is $29/month ($24/month billed annually), Grow $39/month ($34 annually), Webinar $99/month ($79 annually), and Business is custom. Chatting with an agent uses no AI credits, while credit-based features such as AI B-roll still use credits.
Do Riverside Agents post anything without my approval?
No. Every post, podcast episode and scheduled item needs your confirmation before it goes out, and the Producer asks before sending anything such as invites. You can also keep any step manual.
Which social platforms can the Marketer agent post to?
Riverside's help center documents publishing and scheduling to YouTube (including Shorts), Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X and Facebook. You connect each account first. Direct publishing is documented for Pro and higher plans (LinkedIn on all plans), and scheduling through the content planner for Grow and higher.
Can I use Riverside Agents on my phone?
Yes, on iPhone. The help center lists the agents for computer browsers and the iOS app, where they sit in an Agents tab. No Android support for the agents is documented.
Riverside Agents vs Descript: what is the difference?
Descript is a text-based editor with its Underlord AI assistant, where you edit by changing the transcript. Riverside Agents splits the job across four agents that also prep the recording session and handle publishing and scheduling, and they work only on content inside Riverside.

Descript
Creators, podcasters, and content or marketing teams who want fast, text-based video and audio editing with AI cleanup
Freemium
Eddie AI
Professional video editors, producers and post-production teams who cut interview-driven, documentary, podcast or corporate video and want AI to handle logging, syncing and the first assembly before they finish in Premiere, Resolve, Final Cut or Avid
Paidinvideo
Creators, agencies, and in-house marketing and film teams who edit in the browser and want AI agents to handle logging, first cuts, multicam, sound design, effects, and missing shots on a timeline they can take over at any frame
FreemiumRiverside launched the agents on October 26, 2026 as a production crew that works inside its own studio, editor, publishing and hosting tools rather than as a separate app. Each agent has its own chat, reachable from the Agents button in the browser or the Agents tab in the iOS app, and keeps one ongoing conversation per agent. The Producer schedules sessions, invites guests, researches interview questions, writes teleprompter scripts and prepares the studio; on Grow and higher it also reads the live transcript while you record and suggests the next question, and on Webinar and Business it can set up a webinar with a registration page, emails, polls and Q&A. When recording stops, the Editor proposes a step-by-step editing plan (Magic Audio, filler-word and pause removal, layouts, aspect ratio, brand kit, captions, overlays, motion graphics) and applies the changes you approve, while the Clipper generates Magic Clips with your branding and captions. The Marketer then drafts platform-specific captions and thumbnails, recommends where and when to post, and publishes or schedules posts and podcast episodes, but only after you confirm each one. Agents hand tasks to each other in the chat, share a tone-of-voice and workflow profile set in the Personalization hub, and chatting with them does not use AI credits; credit-based features such as AI B-roll still do, and the agent asks before spending them. The main tradeoffs are lock-in and plan gating. The agents only work on content in Riverside, mobile access is iOS only, and what each agent can do follows your plan: direct publishing to YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X and Facebook is documented for Pro and up, scheduling for Grow and up, and live in-studio help for Grow and up. Riverside says each agent runs on proprietary AI tuned for its job.
